ABOUT THE ORCHESTRA
The Celje String Orchestra celebrates its 80th anniversary of continuous operation (since 1945), which is unique in our region for non-professional classical instrumental ensembles. In addition to regular subscription concerts in Celje, it performs both domestically and internationally and records for various radio and TV stations. The orchestra has released several albums and received numerous important awards and recognitions. They tackle the most demanding repertoires and collaborate with the most renowned soloists, conductors, and composers.
The orchestra has been led by Nenad Firšt since 1988.
