The recently deceased folk music musician Tine Lesjak is considered one of the most famous people from Oplotnica. His music and he himself have been an inspiration to many contemporary ensembles. As a musician and ambassador of Oplotnica, he undoubtedly put Oplotnica on the cultural map of Slovenia. Experience Oplotnica in a very special way, through its rich musical heritage.
The experience begins in Oplotnica Park, where you will be greeted by the Tini Lesjak Ensemble and the Boys from Oplotnica at the Tine Lesjak monument. With the iconic song "Tu smo doma" ("Here We Are at Home"), they will introduce you to the world of the renowned musician. Following this, a local tour guide, who personally knew Tine Lesjak, will welcome you. She will read an excerpt from Lesjak's book and guide you through the rich heritage of Oplotnica, where Tine Lesjak spent a significant part of his life. The tour continues with a walk to the castle courtyard and Oplotnica Mansion, a monument of rural luxury featuring some of the finest stucco work from the 17th century. Tine Lesjak played a crucial role in the restoration of the Mansion, providing an auspicious start with his accordion. In May 2019, he played the legendary song "Tu smo doma" for the last time to a gathered crowd and television viewers at the Festival under Pohorje. Next, you will have a guided tour of the Mansion's interior and the Rudi Žnidarič Hall in Oplotnica, where Tine Lesjak often performed to enthusiastic audiences. After the tour, enjoy Lesjak’s coffee, just the way Tine liked it, at the Magdalenca Café located within the Mansion. Your journey will then lead to the Church of St. John the Baptist in Čadram near Oplotnica, where approximately 2000 people bade farewell to the late Tine Lesjak on August 2, 2019. A walk to his grave will follow, where we will pay tribute to the "Pohorje Musician," as he liked to call himself. We will conclude our gathering at a cozy guesthouse in Oplotnica, where we will be served a Lesjak feast.

The price includes: a musical performance by the Tini Lesjak Ensemble and the Boys from Oplotnica at the Tine Lesjak monument, entrance to Oplotnica Mansion, Lesjak’s coffee, a Lesjak feast at an inn in Oplotnica, local tour guiding, and organization of the trip.
